We created a safe space for women to enter into the world of motorcycles..no male required.

It started in Winter. There wasn’t a local motorcycle garage that we could go to so we made our own.

My partner Steve and I were picking up a 1976 KZ 400 for me. I found a commercial storage unit where we could store and work on the motorcycle but the space was small, cold, had no outlets, and was no fun. We found other motorcycle enthusiasts and got a larger space that was climate controlled, had 24 hour access, wi-fi, outlets and a nice semi-private parking lot where we could rip around and we called it, Manifesto Moto.

Manifesto Moto was located in Pittsburgh, Pa but actually in the borough of Etna.

We supplied a managed space, basic tools and supplies and the members created the community where we could work, learn, meet for rides and hang out with our dogs with a little dice playing and BBQ.
